Cooperativity in Highly Excited Rydberg
Ensembles — Control and Entanglement
Paris Workshop:July 19-20, 2012
Coherence and decoherence in Rydberg systems
Gif-sur-Yvette, castle on the CNRS Campus, France
The workshop held at Gif-sur-Yvette castle was organized by CNRS Paris-Sud as a satellite to the International Conference on Atomic Physics (ICAP-23). It included 45 participants, among them 35 from COHERENCE partners and 6 early stage researchers. One speaker was nominated from each node to present recent scientific results and two speakers were invited from outside of the network. In addition to the scientific presentations, a series of three round table discussions on the themes of quantum information, few and many body physics and broader applications of Rydberg atoms, helped to focus the breadth of knowledge and diverse experience of the COHERENCE members to the exploration of new technologies and areas of research involving cold Rydberg gases.
